Is Datarecovee free?

The demo is free to use, as it can scan and analyze any data with a specific number of free downloads (e.g. in Video Repair, there is a limit for videos that are not bigger than 100 MB).

Does it work on Mac?

Unfortunately, there is no Mac support available, so all twelve software tools work only on Windows. Another way to run Mac email (.olm) files is to get them converted by the Windows operating system.

Every tool has its own price, which ranges from $100 (when converting MBOX to PST) to $960 (for the conversion from EDB).

Will the software upload my emails and files?

No. The tools process your files on your own PC; nothing is uploaded to us.

Can I preview the MBOX file before converting it?

Ans. Yes, our software allows you to preview MBOX files before migrating it.

What is the function of the free demo?

All the software has a free demo version to test on your files. The demo performs the scanning and gives a preview of all files and retains the first 25 files from each folder (Video Repair: videos up to 100 MB). This is the limit for the demo.

What is the reason for the demo stopping to save?

The demo only retains 25 files from each folder. This is the limit for the demo and not the cause. The complete product does not have this limitation.

Is the demo limit common for all software?

Yes: 25 items per folder for every tool, except Video Repair, which saves videos up to 100 MB.

What is the procedure to make a purchase?

The payment is handled through PayU’s secure checkout system. You’ll receive your license key via email within an hour after making payment.

Is it subscription-based?

No, the payment is made only once for each tool.

Can you provide an invoice?

Yes. PayU emails you a receipt as soon as you pay; email us if you need a VAT invoice.

Are there discounts for buying in bulk?

Yes, on request. Email info@datarecovee.com with the tools you need and the number of PCs, and we reply with a quote within 1 business day.

How do I obtain and apply my key?

You will receive the key via email within an hour after the completion of payment. Open the tool, go to Help → Activate and paste the key.

How many computers can I activate the software on?

Home: 1 computer. Corporate: up to 5 computers. Technician: unlimited number of computers.

Is there an expiration date for the software?

No expiration date. Minor updates are provided free of charge within the first 12 months.

Can I transfer it to a new computer?

Yes, once a year: deactivate it on the old PC, or email us to reset the key if the old PC no longer works.

I have lost my key. What should I do?

Email info@datarecovee.com from the address you paid with, with your PayU order ID, and we resend the key free.

I made the payment, but I still haven’t received a license key. What are my options?

Simply email us with the name of the product, the email address through which you paid and the invoice number. In case of license problem we will solve the issue or resend the original one.

My license key does not function properly.

Simply write to us with a name of the product, your payment email and an image of the error displayed on your screen. We will either fix the issue or repeat the whole procedure.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within One Week, if the full version cannot perform tasks shown by the demo and we can’t do anything to remedy the situation. In order to do so write to info@datarecovee.com supplying your PayU invoice number.

I purchased the wrong product. Now what?

If you haven’t activated the key yet, email us and we swap it for the right tool or refund it.

How long does it take to get a refund?

We decide within 2 business days; your bank may then take 5–10 working days to show the money.

Is it compatible with Mac?

No. All twelve software applications operate only on Windows. Mac Outlook (.olm) files are converted with the help of a Windows machine.

Which versions of Windows are compatible?

Supported Windows versions can be found on the system requirements page of each tool. They cover Windows XP to Windows 11 (32- and 64-bit) and Windows Server 2000 to 2019.

Do I need to install Outlook?

No. Outlook is only needed to open the PST file afterwards.

What PC do I need?

All twelve tools work only on Windows. Please see the system requirements page for more information on computer specifications.

Why does Windows alert me when I run the installer?

Windows SmartScreen can warn about new installers from small publishers. Check that you downloaded it from datarecovee.com and that the file name matches the download page, then choose Run anyway. Never turn off your antivirus.

Will the tool alter my source file?

No. The tool reads your original file and saves the result as a new file. It is advisable to work with a copy and keep a backup of your file.

Does it restore all my data?

Recovery and conversion depend on the status of your files. It is better to test the demo version of the software using your own files first, while having a back-up.

What is the time needed for the conversion?

It depends on the file size and the speed of your PC. Run the demo on your own file to see how long it takes.

Are folders, attachments, and read/unread status maintained?

Yes for the OST to PST Converter; check each tool’s page and user guide for its details.
